"Here I Wait for You" was the last original song by the band Idle Hands that had yet to be recorded. The Idle Hands were a blues rock cover band based out of Suzhou that also wrote a few originals to keep things interesting. The song's music was written by guitar player Jesse Parkinson, and was later complemented by the lyrics and raw singing ability of Jim "Smoothy" Snyder. For the studio recording, local multi-instrumentalist Hani Abassi played drums. The song was recorded and mixed at The 7 studio by none other than Jackson Davis, a rising star in Suzhou's recording industry.
